Transportation

Train

There are very little parking possibilities in the city. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you travel by public transport. In addition, the Christmas market in Vevey is only a 5-minute walk from the train station.

Special Train

Every weekend, except November 30th/December 1st, a direct special train will connect Fribourg to Vevey, Montreux, and Villeneuve, stopping in Romont, Palézieux, and Puidoux. The 50% RailAway discount also applies, and tickets, valid only on this special train, can be purchased through all usual channels.

On Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 PM, Riviera buses 201 and 204 are free of charge!

Car

This year, a new parking alternative is available to make your visit to the Vevey Christmas Market easier. The Corseaux Plage car park, close to Nestlé and the swimming pool, will be open at weekends and is just a few minutes’ walk from the Place du Marché. In addition, other car parks in Vevey are open throughout the week so that you can enjoy the Market with peace of mind. We also encourage you to use public transport, to make the experience even more enjoyable for everyone.
